eBenefits.Va.Gov – The Department of Veterans Affairs under the guide lines of the GI Bill of Rights gives the brave men & women who have served their country opportunities to enhance their civilian lives. The Serviceman’s Readjustment Act 0f 1944, also known as the GI Bill of Rights was officially signed into law on June 22nd 1944 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. This newly enacted law was and still is administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The benefits afforded to our veterans include continuing education, medical assistance through the Veterans Hospital, home financing, life insurance and more. These programs are designed to aid all our veterans in need of help in acclimating in civilian life. As of August 2009 the Post 9/11 GI Bill was passed to include financing of education that includes undergraduate and graduate degrees in higher education. Vocational and technical training is also provided. This program also offers tutorial assistance and will pay for any certification and licensing fees that are approved under the Post 9/11 GI Bill.
